Can I try on a dress before I hire?

Unfortunetly no, we do not offer try-ons. Our home studio is a collection point only. Please choose your size and style carefully. You're welcome to consult the designer's official size chart for guidance or contact us with any sizing questions.

 Am I responsible for dry cleaning?

No - professional dry cleaning is included in your hire fee. Please do not attempt to clean or alter the garment yourself.

What if the dress doesn't fit?

We get it — sometimes things just don’t work out. If your hire doesn’t fit quite right, you can return it within 24 hours of collection for a credit note (valid for 12 months) equal to the hire fee. Just reach out to us via email to arrange.

What if I no longer need the dress I have booked?

If you cancel your booking 7 or more days before your pick-up date, you'll receive a full refund. If you cancel within 7 days of the collection date, you’ll receive a credit note (valid for 12 months) instead.

Can I have a dress altered?

No. Modifying or altering our garments is strictly prohibited.

What if I mark or damage the dress while wearing it?

If damage occurs, please let us know immediately. For minor damages, you may be charged for repairs. If the item is irreparably damaged or not returned, you will be charged up to the full retail value.

What if the collection days and times do not suit me?

Our standard pick-up times are Monday to Friday, 6 PM to 8 PM. If this doesn’t suit, you can message us on Instagram or via email - we’ll do our best to accommodate early or alternative collection times where possible.

 Can I book a backup dress?

Yes! You’re welcome to book more than one garment as a backup option. However, in order to be eligible for a backup dress credit, you must email us at hello@whatsheworesc.com at the time of booking to let us know your order number and that you are hiring multiple outfits with the intention of using one as a backup.

If only one dress is worn, you can request a credit note for the unworn item (valid for 12 months). The unworn dress must be returned and assessed to ensure it is in its original, unworn condition before any credit can be issued.

What happens if I return my rental late?

Late returns incur a fee of $20 per day until the item is returned. Please notify us immediately if you experience delays.

How long are credit notes and gift cards valid?

All credit notes and gift cards are valid for one year from the issue date.
